Capiz overview

The only real motive for most tourists to stop over Capiz, a province in northern Panay Island, is because you took a slow ferry from Manila and would like to have a rest for few hours before continuing to Iloilo or Boracay Island. With little time to spare, you can easily see Capiz’s main tourist draw, the beautiful Pan-ay Bell – considered as the largest of its kind in Asia and is just a 20-minute jeepney ride from Roxas, the provincial capital. In Roxas, tourists can also make a quick visit to the restaurants near Baybay Beach to sample the local seafood cuisine. Often crowded during weekends, the place is a popular destination among families and travelling gourmand. So if ever you are planning to dine in Baybay during these days, don’t be surprised to find out that your ordered cuisine is still not on your plate even after an exhausting one hour of waiting.
