Boracay overview

Boracay Travel Guide
If you have seen Boracay from tourism ads, the place probably has a representation of a paradise getaway to you. But this perception was possibly true a decade ago, because the once quiet Boracay Island has now become too commercialised due to its popularity among tourists. Looking for a serene place? Tourists will no longer find that in Boracay. From the time you ride the boat from mainland Caticlan – the point of entry for the island – to the moment you set foot in Boracay, you will be bugged by vendors selling just about anything. Gone too are the tranquil beach hotels, as they are now replaced by expensive international resorts. However, if you love sun-bathing on a white sand beach and partying 24/7, then Boracay can be an ideal holiday for you. Just a warning – everything here is overpriced, so you should always be ready to swipe your credit card several times over.
