Bohol overview

Bohol Travel Guide
The island province of Bohol, located in central Visayas, is famous for two things: the cute Philippine tarsier, which is considered as the world’s smallest primate, and the mystifying, perfectly cone-shaped Chocolate Hills. Don’t expect to taste free chocolates here, as the name Chocolate Hills was due to the fact that during the hot season, the hills’ once green grass turns into a dark brown – making the hills look like huge chocolate bar. For history enthusiasts, there are many historical sites in the province. One can visit the country’s second oldest church in Baclayon, just six kilometres away from the provincial capital Tagbilaran. Meanwhile, you should not forget to bring your sun block if going to Bohol! The island boasts several irresistible white sand beaches, particularly those on the nearby Panglao Island.
