Agusan del Norte overview

Agusan del Norte Travel Guide
Agusan del Norte is one of the provinces that can be found in the northern part of Mindanao Island. The province is famous for its sole natural attraction, the Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary – the country’s largest freshwater marsh. At the sanctuary, tourists can see houses floating on bamboo poles. The place is also good for nature lovers who enjoy bird watching and for those who can’t go to Bohol, there are cute tarsiers also living here. But you need to be careful as the marshland is also a prime habitat of a flesh-eating reptile; the crocodile. Frankly, there is nothing to see in Agusan del Norte aside from the sanctuary. So after finishing your short trip in the wetlands, you can go directly to the provincial capital Butuan to board a ferry for Camiguin; an island famed for its diving spots, or to catch a bus going to Siargao; a town famous for wave surfing.
